For starters, I’ve never worn fake eyelashes. In fact, I rarely even wear eye makeup. The fanciest I get is a bit of eyeshadow and some mascara on my top line. I have decently long and thick lashes, red in color to match my hair and eyebrows (all natural) so eye makeup makes me feel awkward. Black and/or brown mascara doesn’t really match. I feel very pretty in my un-makeupped face so why change a good thing, right? Continue reading
It’s been a long day of caring for the crazy girls alone. Princess Daddy is handling all the aftermath of his grandmother passing away earlier this week. Nothing sounded better than a nice relaxing facial. I was really glad I had the Boots clay mask waiting for me to test out, free from Influenster. I was picked to test the Ja’Dore Vox Box.
My first impression was the smell. It smells like dirt. Not very pleasant at all. Second thought? Nowhere on the package did it advise me to shake the bottle. I opened it and tried to use it and ended up with nasty liquid clay all over my sink. So two strikes. Then I used it. It felt AMAZING. I got over the smell quickly. I could feel it tightening my skin. When I washed off, I just felt fresh and rejuvenated. It was messy, really messy but I will definitely use up the rest of the bottle at the very least
So the steps are pretty basic. Start with a clean face. I use this homemade foaming face cleaner. Dry. SHAKE THE BOTTLE OF BOOTS BOTANICS. It should come out clay like, NOT liquid like. Think like a finger paint consistency. Apply it evenly across your entire face. I applied on my neck as well since I tend to have acne breakouts there. Wait 10 minutes. Massage the dry mask into your face. (Try not to breathe in all the dust. It’s quite gross.) Rinse with warm water and pat dry. Repeat weekly.
I was recently invited to participate in the Influenster Ja’Dore VoxBox. This was a Valentine’s Day special with lots of pampering and beauty products, a special treat for Princess Daddy and some delicious decadent treats.
I can’t wait to share my reviews but in the meantime, this is what I received free in order to test and tell others about: Continue reading
As a stay-at-home-mom, I’m always looking for good opportunities to earn a little extra. I’ve recently signed up with Swagbucks and through them I learned about the awesome rewards available from Bing Rewards. Once you sign up, set Bing as your search browser and go about your business. As you search, you earn reward points. You earn points for doing all the things you were doing before. Easy. That’s it. Seriously.

When I started out this journey on having a blog, I loved writing. I did guest posts on a regular basis on a variety of topics from parenting to business to life and I loved doing it. I figured, why not do what I love in a space that is all my own? A space where I can format and design and advertise and do whatever I want with? A space that I make money off of instead of someone else?
These are all good thoughts. Continue reading
What is an affiliate link? This means I have set up an account with Mountain Rose Herbs as a referral service to their website. In turn, I get paid a small commission from them. This does not increase your cost at all. This does not limit the selection of products available. And lastly, this does not in any way compromise the security of their website when it comes to using your credit card to make your payment.
As a stay-at-home-mom to three small children with a one income family, affiliate links like the ones found here for Mountain Rose Herbs help our family build towards a greater future. We thank you for taking the time to support our family.
If you have any questions about essential oils, please don’t hesitate to ask. I am not an expert by any means but I have been using them for awhile and will gladly bounce ideas with you for ways they can benefit your family.
Everyone is saying it and I am no different at all. Disney’s Frozen is AMAZING! I could watch it several times a day and still not get sick of it. It makes me laugh. It makes me cry. It’s the perfect example of love and family. It depicts heartbreak and tragedy and loneliness. It pokes fun at the concept of fairy tale endings and true love’s kiss. Seriously, it’s perfect.
But that’s not why I am here. Many a blogger has approached the topic already and nearly all have done it better than I can right now. So instead, I leave you with this:
